In September of 2024, Jade came to see me. She had newly embarked on an Eat Pray Love journey of sorts and our connecting was a fortuitous part of this unfolding.

Treating herself to a reprieve from the NC mountains and ushering in a new chapter, she landed on vacation on salty Edisto Island in celebration of her life and journey thus far...and then in Charleston for the day and for a session with me.

Her aura and clothing were a rainbow of deep purples and auburns-soft and also powerful. My energetic impression right away was that she was tapped into the creative flow, naturally and deeply caring and aware of the interconnection of all things. It was also clear that she was on the right path despite many recent challenges.

Jade had been through a tough and transformative year that-among other things-included a breakup and moving to a new home in the outer Asheville area. She expressed excitement and nervousness in relation to this new chapter and wanted to focus in the session on whatever she could do to create better balance in relationships, clear emotional energy from the recent past and to feel anchored in her decisions.

At one point in her session, a soul retrieval took place (a brief excerpt of notes): a soul part was illuminated that had been disconnected several years ago, as a result of feeling like you could not trust yourself-a protective mechanism. Once in a deeper space there was a theme of trust in self-and this is what came up as the soul retrieval. I saw (a stuck soul part or aspect of your energy) in the upper world stuck in meditation.

The part was ready to return and reintegrate and as mentioned, this process contains shifts that are often subtle but profound. Overall, you are very intuitive with some beautiful gifts and this is about embodying a new and deeper space of self trust and intuition-there is magic here!

At the close of the session we spoke briefly about the Retrieval; in particular her innately strong intuition and the importance in trusting this going forward and allowing it to light her path.

There is always a natural shift and alignment that unfolds (after an integration period) after a soul retrieval...a restoration and a new capacity in relation to the part returned occurs.

The next weekend Hurricane Helene hit causing complete devastation for parts of Asheville and surrounding areas.

Fast forward to a year later, this sunny, compassionate woman returned to see me, on a very different sort of vacation-this one with friends-commemorating her resilience and how far she had come-in so many ways-since the storm.

Jades energy was completely shifted since fall of 2024, she was a new and different version of self. Her posture was taller like a mountain Fraser Fir, she also had a distinct apple-y glow and sense of ease within.

Jade shared that as the storm approached her new home the year before, she had felt nervous and had a distinct sense to leave the area. When she checked in with neighbors they assured her that there was no need to leave; storms descending on the area tended to be manageable and nothing had happened otherwise in the past 15 years or more. Still, she ultimately decided to leave and to head to a hotel out of the area, TRUSTING herself and her strong intuition. She brought with her only a few items-among them her salty clothing from her beach vacation-and a beloved dogs ashes.

At the peak of the storm, a mudslide swept her new home and many others away. 

Jade had lived in her car for several days afterwards and shared many other challenges from the past year...as a result of Hurricane Helene-an unexpected turn-in her new chapter. She also shared about not working in 2024 and despite this, feeling grateful-taking the time to prioritize her health and well-being in a way that was unprecedented. She learned new things, completed new trainings, and became stronger physically and in all aspects of her being.

She is now renting a cottage in Asheville, and while continuing to move through the grief and aftermath of this event, her self trust indeed lit her path at that pivotal time and continues to do so.

Jade embodies a strength and empowered intuition in this past year that will continue to expand and to bless others she connects with.
